DESCRIPTION

The city is in the process of designing and constructing an all-new City water services pipeline to the Power City area down Lind Road and behind the Port of Entry off Brownell Road. This is part of an overall utility project to construct the pipeline in 2023.

Why it's needed-Between both communities, a total of 49 new connections will be served by the system being designed. The communities of Brownell and Power City are made up of low income persons with substandard drinking water and aging water systems that are starting to fail. This project will be the first step toward bringing compliant drinking water to these communities, in some ways for the first time in over 30 years.
