The City of Umatilla is currently accepting applications for the position of Parks and Recreation Director. The City is using the recruiting firm GMP Consultants to assist in the hiring process. The primary focus of the Parks and Recreation Director will be to ensure recreational activities are available to all members of the community. Incumbents will oversee the implementation of recreation activities and community events, and will seek to make the City a premier recreational destination.

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation Management, Public Administration, Physical Education, Hospitality & Tourism, or related field, five (5) or more years of experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive community park and recreation program, and at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role with budget oversight. This is an FLSA exempt position and may work in excess of 40 hours a week, with weekends and holidays. Salary is $104,544 - $122,256/year DOE.
