The City of Umatilla is recruiting for a Utility Clerk. This position requires a high school diploma or GED (Associates Degree with course work in accounting, business, or related field preferred), two (2) years experience in cash handling, maintaining customer accounts, or preparing billing statements, late notices, and delinquent accounts, AND two (2) years experience of general administrative work and working with the public (experience in a municipal setting preferred). Any combination of education and experience enabling the candidate to perform the essential functions of the position will also be considered. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license or have ability to acquire and be an Oregon Notary or have the ability to become one. Candidates that are bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred. The current salary is $46,260 - $59,016 but will be increasing to $51,396 - $65,568/year in July (DOQ).
