Registration fees cover the 2024 season, jerseys, flags, footballs and mouth guards.

Teams will consist of 7 to 10 co-ed players depending on how many participants register. We will have 4 divisions (by age) depending on how may registrations we receive.

NEW THIS YEAR: This year Umatilla NFL Flag football will be having a player skills day on March 23rd. During this time coaches and staff will observe the players abilities in a fun group activity which will lead coaches into a player draft to determine teams. NOTE: If a player does not want to participate in the skills day they will still be placed on a team during the draft.  

Players with siblings in the same age groups will be grouped together on the same team during the draft. All other team will be decided by the coaches and staff in the draft in order to make the teams as evenly matched as possible.

Note: Player in the U5 and U6 divisions (ages 5 and 6) will not participate in the player skills day. Umatilla Park and Rec staff will randomly pair the U5 and U6 division teams.  

WE NEED VOLUNTEER PARENT COACHES! Please indicate in your child's registration if you are interested in being a flag football coach. We will make sure the parent (coach) and child are on the same team. If you agree to coach we will reimburse your child's registration fee. The registration fee will only be reimbursed after coaches have completed training and have attended the mandatory coaches' meeting.

Coaches will be required to have practice at least once a week but twice a week is recommended. Field space will be reserved for teams to practice based on the coach's schedule. Coaches will have to pass a background check prior to coaching.

SCHEDULE

  • Program registration ends March 15th, 2024
  • Coaches meeting will be on March 22nd, 2024 (Subject to change)
  • Player skills day March 23rd, 2024 at 3rd Street Soccer Field
  • Meet your coach night April 1st, 2024 6:00pm at 3rd Street Soccer Field
  • First games will start on April 13th, 2024 at 3rd Street Soccer

Games will be mostly played on Saturdays with some games on Monday or Thursday if needed. The time of your child's games will be determined by their age group with the youngest ages playing first. Games start at 9 am on Saturdays.
